Awake in the Dream
The lucid dream, located as it is at a crossroads between worlds and states of consciousness, places the magician in a unique position to influence the delicate balance of consciousness and the interplay it has on matter in the waking state, and is thus an opportunity to test one’s ability in the art of adjusting the mutable fabric of Maya.

What is Lucid Dreaming?
When I was a child I travelled through the stars into the outer reaches of this Universe at will. It was as simple as looking into the stars I saw above my bed, opening that portal, and transporting myself into the night sky.
Many years later I recall consciously “turning it off” as so many of us do.
As an adult I have had recurring “flying dreams” and even lucid abilities to Astral Project and travel at will within our Universe. But it’s not the same. It’s not every night and it’s not at will. These gifts I am assured will return…are returning, as we enter into the higher frequencies.
It may be for some the gifts return instantaneously, or seem to appear that way, and for those rare starseeds who never turned it off there is no return necessary; yet for most there truly is a preparation and readiness that occurs before we are able to embody/believe the magic in our conscious minds. For some this readiness occurs without conscious preparation; for others it takes time, practice, and acknowledgement that we are working toward this goal. All of this preparation is simply to soothe the mind so it does not become shocked when we suddenly find ourselves “awake” while asleep; leaving the body and the home, the near to ground atmosphere, and flying or simply projecting to another location, be it planet, star system, or even staying “close to home.” Something I’ve noticed about lucid dream travel is that my soul is never surprised that this is happening, it is a quite normal experience with no thought of “this is unusual” attached. If my mind were to somehow come in and observe from its limited third dimensional perspective it may object out of fear or non-understanding.
Many methods may be used to encourage lucid dreaming and astral projection; one of the most recognized is from the Carlos Castenada books, focusing before you sleep on what it will be like to observe your own hand in your dreams. Castenada was a modern pioneer on this topic, really it is as old as time, but he was a forerunner is bringing in back into the mainstream. His books were written in the 70’s and here we are in 2020 and there is a renewed interest on this topic.
From my experience and research I will like to offer some guidelines and “tips” for those wishing to experience the wonders of complete freedom, flight, and intimate connection to your spirit and source.

- Surround yourself in love. Be love. Say the word Love. This is for protection. It will also help you to reach the more magical destinations. (Entry code: LOVE)
- Clear your space before bed, the less clutter the better. Ideally your sleeping area would contain minimal books and random objects. Clear through sage, incense, candles and intention.
- Ritual - create a nightly ritual that might include a hot medicine bath (herbal teas or an herb sachet can be added to the bath, as well as crystals or stones) Light candles. Drink Mugwort and Lavender tea. Whatever you choose as your ritual, it is the intention you set and maintain that is most important.
- Ask for assistance from your higher self, angels, and guides.
- Ask for a lucid dream. Declare if it is in the highest potential timeline you will have one.
- Keep a notebook close to record your travels.
Most men typically do not think or dream in color. One night I was meditating on this subject and had a vivid out-of-body experience in a heaven
that was crystalline, where all the trees and plants flashed an endless variety of colors and hues. This experience changed the way I looked at, and dreamt about, life. Flower therapy is very much a part of color therapy and aromatherapy. We just need more of it. (Dr. Morse)

The sailor does not control the sea, nor does the lucid dreamer control the dream. Like a sailor, lucid dreamers manipulate or direct themselves in the larger expanse of dreaming; however, they do not control it. Lucid dreaming appears to be a co-created experience. (Robert Waggoner)
Astral Projection
Your intention is what defines your experience. It is also true that the nature of your intention will give you either a golden ticket or a padlocked gate. Entrance to the higher realms requires a purity of heart and intention, as well an alignment with your soul mission.
Lucid dreaming can be learnt. Astral projection is a gift you come here with. You can enhance it through the practice of Lucid Living, etc. but it won't materialize it until you’ve reached a certain level of soul mastery.

Once you become aware you are dreaming, aware of yourself as a conscious entity with or without form, in the case of Astral Projection you Will yourself to “Fly” or to travel by other form. I often find myself projecting into the astral caused by a trigger from my dreams. I often find this trigger to be a vehicle of some sort – and once I realize I am utilizing the vehicle I also realize I can direct the vehicle to fly. When you use a vehicle of any nature to fly you are utilizing the concept of the Merkabah. But that is certainly not the only method of flying. As common would be the feeling of lifting off with my (dream) physical body. Whether that is using my arms as wings or even jumping into the air or using a jumping off point. I believe we perceive this through our human experience in this way although I see it differently from another part of my self, the one that watches. I also find myself using my mind or conscious directed thought or energy to project instantly to another place in time/dimensional frequency. So I experience myself saying or thinking the name of a planet or destination repeatedly as I will myself to project into that space.
When I experience astral projection I am not always in a lucid state. Or at least I am not accessing the state I am in via the brain so I don’t experience it in that tangible way, that close up way, ah, the sense that it is ME, CAYCEE, experiencing it. Rather I am a witness to my soul as it experiences a quite normal occurrence such as returning to my home planet or being enfolded into the arms of divine.
Another difference between lucid dreaming and astral projection is the level of consciousness you find yourself holding. Embodying. In lucid dreams you are somewhat still held by the third and definitely fourth dimensions and so maintain this sense of self/ego/desire. These dreams have people acting out fantasies or activities that they have a desire for from this 3/4th dimensional awareness. Sometimes that desire is lovely, swimming with dolphins, communing with angels, loved ones, and guides – and sometimes it is the opposite – lucid dreamers act out their unfulfilled desires as well as express anger and acts of violence. With astral projection it is the soul leading the way, it is you watching your soul or "higher" self rather than you watching your human or "lower" self.
