The Pineal Gland
We thus actually get an impression of bright etheric light-currents streaming across from the one to the other of these organs, and pouring themselves out over the human ether-body. These organs are actually present in the human organism. One of them is the pineal gland; the other, the so-called pituitary body: the “epiphysis” and the “hypophysis” respectively. We have here, at a definite point in the human physical organism, the external physical expression of the co-operation of soul and body! (Rudolf Steiner)
Now we have at that point an organ, the development of which will restore the power of clairvoyance in humanity: the pineal gland. And thus, the clairvoyant power of the Atlanteans, as well as their tremendous memory and their magical powers, disappeared gradually; and in its place we developed our present ability to think and to do mathematics. (Rudolf Steiner)
So that the higher self can stream into him to make him into a higher being, we find the organ for this where a vertical line from the top of the head crosses a horizontal line through the root of the nose, or a little above it. This organ is the pineal gland. Man makes a connection with the divine self in the world through the pineal gland. A third higher organ, the 16-petaled lotus flower, lies in man's larynx, and a fourth organ, the 12-petaled lotus is in the heart region. (Rudolf Steiner)
"The pineal gland, also called conarium, epiphysis cerebri, pineal organ, or pineal body, endocrine gland found in vertebrates that is the source of melatonin, a hormone derived from tryptophan that plays a central role in the regulation of circadian rhythm (the roughly 24-hour cycle of biological activities associated with natural periods of light and darkness).
The pineal gland has long been an enigmatic structure. Even in the early 21st century, when sophisticated molecular techniques were available for biological study, fundamental features of the gland—including the extent of the effects of its principal hormone, melatonin—remained incompletely understood.
Anatomy of Pineal Gland - The pineal gland develops from the roof of the diencephalon, a section of the brain, and is located behind the third cerebral ventricle in the brain midline (between the two cerebral hemispheres). Its name is derived from its shape, which is similar to that of a pinecone (Latin pinea). In adult humans it is about 0.8 cm (0.3 inch) long and weighs approximately 0.1 gram (0.004 ounce).
The pineal gland has a rich supply of adrenergic nerves (neurons sensitive to the adrenal hormone epinephrine) that greatly influence its function. Microscopically, the gland is composed of pinealocytes (rather typical endocrine cells except for extensions that mingle with those of adjacent cells) and supporting cells that are similar to the astrocytes of the brain. In adults, small deposits of calcium often make the pineal body visible on X-rays. (The pineal gland eventually becomes more or less calcified in most people.)
In some lower vertebrates the gland has a well-developed eyelike structure. In others, though not organized as an eye, it functions as a light receptor.
Pineal hormones - Both melatonin and its precursor, serotonin, which are derived chemically from the alkaloid substance tryptamine, are synthesized in the pineal gland. Along with other brain sites, the pineal gland may also produce neurosteroids. Dimethyltryptamine (DMT), a hallucinogenic compound present in the Amazonian botanical drink ayahuasca (made from Banisteriopsis caapi, a South American jungle vine), is chemically similar to melatonin and serotonin and is considered to be a trace substance in human blood and urine." The Pineal Gland as Seen in the Iris
Location in Iridology: The Pineal Gland is located in zone three, near 11 o'clock in the left iris and 1 o'clock in the right iris, at the base of the mental ability brain zone.
Signs in the Iris: The usual signs common in iridology are also seen here. Whether it be bright white streaks or clouds indicating hyperactivity, discoloration and pigmentation indicating drug deposits and especially in this case fluoride, or darker radii solaris or lacuna originating from the transverse colon indicating chronic calcification and degeneration. In my experience any of these signs indicate a significant relationship and relevance to the Pineal Gland and its more ethereal counterpart, Agni Chakra, also known as The Third Eye.

Botanical Allies
Botanical Allies of the Pineal Gland hold vibrational alignment to the Pineal Gland, expressing like frequencies in their signature through color, shape, and habitat, and as such contain important medicinal properties that directly target the Pineal Gland and Third Eye Chakra.
Pine Pollen - Earth’s Record Keeper, Pine holds memory of our original 12 strand Crystalline DNA. Pine cones are almost identical in shape to the pineal gland, and as such, Pine is the keeper of the Pineal Gland's sacred flame, embodying the blueprint of the pineal gland within its own DNA. As such Pine may assist humans in accessing their Crystalline DNA and in restoring pineal gland function to its original capacity - Pine pollen contains a rich source of Phytonutrients and DHEA. Recent studies have shown that DHEA does significantly boost melatonin production in the pineal gland, as well is known for its Longevity and Anti-Aging effects.
Colloidal Gold - A powerful electrical conductor, Monoatomic Gold returns the DNA, brain, nervous system, and body tissues into their original state of superconductors of etheric energy. Colloidal gold is known to accelerate the decalcification of the Pineal Gland, thereby enhancing lucidity, awareness, intuition, and enhanced realization of higher senses, or Clairs. Nano-Gold particles harmonize and sync the two hemispheres of the brain, thereby unlocking and repairing DNA. Produces a lighter more electric state of consciousness, enhancing lucidity in waking and dreaming.
Chaga Mushroom - Safeguarding of DNA - Chaga contains high concentrations of antioxidant Superoxide Dismutase (SOD) in its purest bioavailable form, easily digested and dispersed throughout the body, protecting our genetic coding and DNA from oxidative stress, which can cause mutations and damage to our genes. As we reduce the free radicals in our body, our stress response lessens, and we stop degeneration of our vital tissues. Chaga inspires the production of Melatonin within the Pineal Gland, catalyzing a powerful Third Eye awakening, so we may more readily access our intuitive and Universal / Source nature, along with an expansion of consciousness, increased clairvoyance, a sense of Oneness, spiritual awareness, and understanding of Divine lessons and revelations.
Horsetail - (Wildcrafted, tinctured fresh) Contains a high amount of the crystalline semi-conductor, Silica, and its presence in this formula is to provide this abundance of bioavailable silica to the Pineal Gland, thus exhibiting a trophorestorative effect, that is, to restore certain tissues through the act of providing specific necessary nutrition to those tissues, organs, and glands.
Milk Thistle - Known primarily for its ability to regenerate liver cells, Milk thistle seed is also proven to reduce Amyloid plaque in the brain, benefitting those with brain dis-orders especially those related to calcification. Thistle also hold an energetic imprint of the Pineal Gland and Pituitary Gland, the Third Eye and Crown Chakras, thus working on physical and energetic levels concurrently.
Ligustrum Lucidum is a small, evergreen-like tree in the olive family that is native to China and Eastern Asia with white lilac-like flowers that produce lovely purple fruit. This fruit is considered the medicinal portion of the plant, an ancient Taoist longevity tonic that nourishes the yin energy and essence of the liver and kidneys; clears heat and brightens the eyes, enhances the senses (especially the eyes and ears), inspires the glands (especially the thyroid, pineal, and pituitary glands), and strengthens and rejuvenates the entire body. Through its signature white flowers and purple berries Ligustrum Lucidum embodies the energetic qualities of the Pineal Gland and Third Eye Chakra, and its name, meaning 'to shine,' or 'filled with light,' corresponds to the Third Eye Chakra's element, which is Light.
Gotu Kola - A calming nervine and rejuvenation tonic, Gotu Kola embodies the energetic signature of the brain and nervous system, has traditionally been used to temper anxiety and improve mood. These effects may be somewhat due to an increase in neurotransmitter production. In both Chinese and Ayurvedic ancient systems of medicine, Gotu Kola is considered a supreme Shen (spiritual) and Sattva (reality enhancing) tonic herb. It has been shown to harmonize trans-hemispheric communication in the brain, which is likely why it is used by yogis, monks and meditators for its psychic and awareness-enhancing effects. Brain hemisphere synchronization produces changes in brainwave states associated with expanded states of consciousness. Gotu kola is said to act directly on the pineal gland and third eye chakra (Ajna).
Alfalfa - With its signature purple flowers and deep taproots that bring up the richness and depth of the earth to her surface, Alfalfa not only carries the etheric signature of the Pineal Gland and Ajna (Third Eye) Chakra, as well it provides rich bioavailable nutrients and crystalline minerals especially suited to the brain, pineal and pituitary glands.
Red (or purple) Clover - Another plant in the Alfalfa family, Clover contains bioavailable nutrients specific to the Pineal and Pituitary glands, providing essential nutrients and crystalline minerals in order to restore function. Clover is well-known for its blood purification, or alterative, properties, which are essential to the overall health and nutrition of the Pineal gland.

High Frequency Foods
The highest frequency diet is the Fruitarian Lifestyle, a diet of living foods such as fruit, greens, and herbs, with a small amount of seeds and nuts. Fruitarians often note that one of the effects of this lifestyle is an increase in extra-sensory perception and experiences such as lucid dreaming and astral projection. Fruit is the highest evolution of the plant, bush, or tree, and as such shares vibrational alignment to the upper-most chakras and glands, the third eye and crown chakras and their physical counterparts, the pineal and pituitary glands. Certain fruits hold an even closer vibratory signature matching that of the pineal gland, those are fruits and berries that contain different shades of purple, indigo, and violet, and these would include purple grapes, blackberries, fresh fig, plumbs, passionfruit, currants, elderberries, and blueberries. All of these fruits benefit the pineal gland through their antioxidant rich properties, their high content of bioavailable vitamins and minerals, and their powerful detoxification properties. Fruits are alkaline in nature and as such will help shift the body and blood into a more alkaline state, which is a calm, sattvic state of mind conducive to meditation and quiet time in nature, both of which contribute to the health and vitality of the pineal gland and third eye chakra.
